Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop Tutorials
Over time I’ve been putting together the occasional Lightroom and Photoshop post processing tutorial video as I come across new techniques. I’m not the best at teaching so bare with me…
Lightroom – Split Toning
This is a tutorial on how to use the split toning tool within Lightroom. This is one of my more popular Lightroom tutorials and covers how I personally use the tool, which colours I find best to add to your highlights and shadows and so on.
Photoshop – Colour Range
This Photoshop tutorial covers the use of the colour range tool within Photoshop CS5. This is a helpful tool that is best applied when you wish to make adjustments to a colour range within a scene without affecting the whole scene. I find this technique best for waterfall or rain forest photography where you wish to edit the foliage colours around a waterfall which can have various shades of green and yellow.
Photoshop – Curves
I find the curves tool in Photoshop invaluable for correcting colour casting from stacking graduated neutral density filters such as the Cokin Z-Pro and Hitech filters. This tutorial covers how to adjust the individual colour channels within the curves tool.
Photoshop – Unsharpen Mask
A basic Photoshop tutorial introducing you to how I use the unsharpen mask within Photoshop. I still avoid sharpening my images in Lightroom as I find the unsharpen mask within Photoshop much more superior.
Photoshop – Adjusting the Black and White Point
This Photoshop tutorial shows you how to adjust the black and white point to an image. This normally only results in a minor change to an image however is a handy post processing technique to have up your sleeve.
